How To Maintain Your Liposuction Results

Liposuction is an investment in your time, money and emotions. Once you see your results from liposuction with Dr. Sayah, you will undoubtedly want to enjoy them for many years to come. Maintaining your results is very doable, especially if you consider these suggestions:

FOLLOW ALL OF DR. SAYAH’S INSTRUCTIONS

Doctor knows best. Dr. Sayah has worked on many cases and knows the dos and don’ts of maintaining results. Be sure to follow all of his post-operative instructions for a smooth recovery and attend all follow-up visits to check in with him periodically after surgery.

WATCH YOUR DIET

This shouldn’t be news to you: Eating a well-balanced diet full of nutritious foods is key to staying fit and thin. Choose lean proteins, like chicken, turkey and fish, and whole grain proteins like brown rice. At every meal, make sure that half your plate is filled with veggies and/or fruits. Avoid processed, sugary or carb-heavy foods that are full of empty calories. If you need help with your nutrition, seek out a qualified dietician who can give you more ideas and create customized meal plans.

MOVE YOUR BODY

Find an exercise routine that you love, and stick to it. This could include running, weight lifting, swimming, aerobics, Zumba, yoga or even outdoor activities like hiking. If you tend to get bored with repetition, switch up your routine every month or so to challenge your body. Search websites like Groupon or Living Social, which often have deals for special fitness classes like Pilates, or physical activities like paddle boarding. If you live in the Beverly Hills or Los Angeles area, there is no excuse not to get outside and exercise year-round!

FIND AN ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER

Some people find it easier to consistently work out and eat healthily when they have another person holding them accountable. Find a friend, family member or coworker that is also interested in staying fit, and support each other as you plan your meals and exercise. Checking in daily or weekly by phone or text message may provide the motivation you need to stay on track!
